Guaraní is the heart language of approximately 7 million indigenous people living in Paraguay, northern Argentina, southern Brazil, and parts of Bolivia. Guaraní is primarily spoken in Paraguay and, despite being an indigenous language, has influenced and defined national Paraguayan culture. The word “Paraguay” itself likely comes from the Guaraní language, and the dialect of Spanish spoken in Paraguay is unique because of the Guaraní vocabulary, expressions, and phrases it has adopted.
CARS stands for Central Asian Russian Scripture, and approximately 30 million people speak this unique language. CARS extends through Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, all which predominantly practice Islam. From 1922 to 1991, these countries were members of the Soviet Union. Such a distinct religious and historical context allows the CARS FireBible to influence five nations and to reach Muslim and Muslim background believers throughout Central Asia.
English is widely spoken throughout the United States and Canada. We have published several English Bible translations including the English Standard Version, New Living Translation, King James Version, Modern English Version, New International Version, and the New King James Version.
Peru is nestled between Chile and Ecuador with a population size of about 33 million. Both Quéchua and Spanish are considered official languages. The Peruvian constitution allows for freedom of religion, and around three-fourths of the population is Roman Catholic. The remainder is Evangelical Christians, Protestants, and followers of traditional beliefs.
Spanish is the first language of about 483 million people worldwide and a second language to another 50 million. The Spanish FireBible is available in the kids and student versions.
There are around 11 million people living in Haiti. Both French and Haitian are the official language, and commonly spoken. The primary religion is Christianity, a mix between Catholic and Protestant. Others are either non-religious or practice vodou. The Haitian Creole FireBible is in process and will be ready to share soon.
There are about 10 million people living in Sweden, with 89% of the population being Swedish. The remainder are mostly Syrian, Iraqi and Finnish. Most of its inhabitants belong to the Church of Sweden, of the Lutheran denomination. Others identify as Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Baptist, Muslim, Jewish and Buddhist.
This formerly communist country has had a history of faith, but much of their past is riddled with war in which religion was used on one side. These battles have left people disillusioned with Christianity. The growth of the evangelical church in Slovenia is at about negative .2 percent, making it the fifth slowest growing church in the world. Conversely, nominalism and atheism continue to increase.
Serbia is in Southeastern Europe and nestled between Macedonia and Hungary. Comparatively, it is just smaller than South Carolina and is home to around 6 million people. Around 92% of the population are declared Christians. Serbian is the official language; however, many people speak Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian and Albanian. The FireBible is also available in each of these languages.
The official language of Romania, 24-26 million people speak Romanian as their first language. Romanian is also the official language of the Republic of Moldova and an official minority language in Ukraine and Hungary. Like Spanish, Portuguese, French and, Italian, Romanian is a romance language and is most closely related to Italian. This Bible is available in the kid’s version.
There are approximately 10 million people living in Portugal. 95% of the population are Portuguese, citizens from Portugal’s former colonies in Africa, Asia, and South America. Most of the country is Roman Catholic or Christian, and the remainder is Jewish, Muslim, or non-religious. The Portuguese Bible is also available in the student and kids’ editions.
A difficult language to master, Polish is spoken by 45 million people worldwide. Many of its speakers, 38 million, reside in Poland, where it is the official language.
In Italy, where Italian is the official language, nearly 56 million people speak the language. It is also the language of the Vatican City. Visitors remark on how different each town is from the next, based on their marked differences in dialect and cuisine. There are about 61 million people living in Italy, most of which are Christian.
German, the second most spoken language in Europe, is the official language of Germany. More than 90 million people speak German as a first language and another 10-25 million as a second. Germany is Europe’s second most populous country, with around 84 million people. Most people are Roman Catholic and others are Protestant, Muslim, or non-religious.
Greece has over 2,000 islands, of which about 170 are inhabited. As the most well-documented of any Indo-European language, Greek is the official language of Greece. It’s one of the oldest attested Indo-European languages, dating to about the 15th century BCE. Due to its long history, Greek has influenced other languages over time; around 12% of the English vocabulary is from the Greek language.
German, the second most spoken language in Europe, is the official language of Germany. More than 90 million people speak German as a first language and another 10-25 million as a second. Germany is Europe’s second most populous country, with around 84 million people. Most people are Roman Catholic and others are Protestant, Muslim, or non-religious.
The most well-practiced religion in France is Roman Catholic followed by Atheism. Today, France is one of the most modern countries in the world and a leader among European nations. The population is about 68 million, and 100% of the population speaks French as it is the official language. The French FireBible is also available in the kid’s edition.
Czech Czechia is also known as The Czech Republic. It is in Central Europe, bordering Germany and Poland. There are about 10 million people living in Czechia. Most people speak Czech, while others speak Slovak. 7% of the population belong to the Roman Catholic church while around 77% are unaffiliated with a church.
There are around 4 million people living in Croatia and around 95% of the population mainly speaks Croatian. Pastor Ivan Glavacko of Glad Tidings Evangelical Church in Zagreb, Croatia shared, “Very few biblical study tools are available in our language, especially those that give a clear message and explanation of the work of the Holy Spirit. Our Croatian ministers, especially the younger generation, are excited about the FireBible with its commentary and study helps.”
There are around 6 million inhabitants in Bulgaria, and the population is well distributed throughout most of the country. The primary language is Bulgarian, and it became one of the official languages of the European Union in 2007. About 60% of the population are Eastern Orthodox, 7% are Muslim and the remainder are unspecified.
There are around 3 million people living in Albania and about 98% are Albanian-speaking with most others speaking Greek. Albanian uses an extended Latin alphabet that contains 36 letters to represent specific Albanian sounds. There is no official religion in Albania, but the most common is Islam, with the second-most-common being Christianity.
The Karen occupy areas in southeastern Myanmar on both sides of the lower Salween River. They are the second largest minority in Myanmar and considered a state-less people.
Pakistan is a populous and multiethnic country in South Asia. It has a population of over 242 million people. The most spoken language is Punjabi; however, Urdu is considered the official language. Though many of its speakers live in India and Pakistan, they also live in Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Ukrainian is the official language of the country, and about 77% of the population speaks it. Some people speak Russian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Romanian and Polish. The FireBible is available in each of these languages.
As the 4th largest natively spoken language in India, 82 million people speak Telugu as a first language. It is an official language in the Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana States of India.
One of the oldest surviving classical languages, Tamil is the official language of the Tamil Nadu State in India.
Sri Lanka is an island in the Indian Ocean, south of India. It is home to about 23 million people, most of whom primarily live in Southwest Sri Lanka. The most common ethnicity is Sinhalese, making Sinhala the official and national language. Tamil is also recognized as an official language, and the FireBible is available in this language as well.
Russia is home to over 142 million people. Russian is spoken by about 77% of the population. It is also the official language; however, some people speak Ukrainian. The FireBible is also available in this language.
125 million people speak Punjabi as their native language. While Punjabi is the most widely spoken language in Pakistan, it’s only an official language in the State of Punjab, India. The Punjab region comprises vast territories of northern India and eastern Pakistan. The main religions are Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism. In these two least-reached countries are many pastors and believers in Christ who stand for their faith despite much persecution.
Odisha is a predominantly rural population and is the irrigated rice-farming region of the coastal plains that is heavily populated. Odia is a designated classical language in India, and the official language of Odisha. 82% of the population of Odisha are native language speakers.
Nepali, the official language of Nepal, is spoken by 16 million people, roughly 44% of the population. Nepali is also commonly spoken in India as well. The vast majority, about 81%, of the country practices Hinduism. Others practice Buddhism, Islam, Kiran while Christianity is least practiced.
Maharashtra is a state in India, and the capital of Mumbai. Marathi, the official language of Maharashtra is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. Hinduism is noted as the principal religion in the state. Maharashtra has India’s largest Buddhist population.
Mostly spoken in Southwestern India, Malayalam is the native language of around 34 million people. It is a large country with over 1 billion inhabitants. As a result, it is also an incredibly diverse nation with several spoken languages. FireBible has been able to provide a bible in about 12 Indian languages, as listed above.
Kannada is spoken by approximately 45 million people as a first language, 13 million as a second language, and is the official language of the Southwestern Indian state of Karnataka. Kannada is the 8th most spoken language in India. Hinduism is the main religion of Karnataka and less than 5% of the population are professing Christians.
There are over 1 billion people in India. Around 72% are of Indo-Aryan ethnicity, and 25% are Dravidian. Hindi, spoken by 322 million as a native language, is an official language of India along with English.
Israel is in the Middle East, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It is home to over 8 million people, most of which are of Jewish and Arab descent. Most widely known for being a biblical language, Hebrew is widely spoken and regarded as the official language.
Situated along the northwestern shoreline of India, next to the border of Pakistan, is the Indian state of Gujarat. Hindu is the main religion and with little witness to hear about Jesus, there are very few Christians among the Gujarati. The language barrier alone prevents the ability to read the Bible and understand what it says. Now, the FireBible is available for the people of Gujarat to use as a resource to strengthen their relationships with Christ.
Most of India practices Hinduism with others practicing Islam, Christianity and Sikhism.
There are around 165 million people living in Bangladesh with around 88% being Muslim. Earlier church movements brought thousands of people to the Chruch, but lack of trained, godly leadership left many believers with a shallow faith. The FireBible offers the reader a practical understanding of Scripture that leads to a deeper relationship with Christ.
Geopolitically, Armenia can be classified as falling within Europe, in the Middle East, or both. Most of the population resides in the northern half of the country. Armenia prides itself on being the first nation to formally adopt Christianity, sometime in the early 4th century. There are just over 3 million inhabitants and about 93% of the population are Armenian Apostolic.
Spoken by 93 million people as a first language, and another 2 million as a second language, Vietnamese is the official language of Vietnam. Due to proximity, the spoken language contains influences from the French, Chinese, and Cham languages.
Papua New Guinea’s geography consists mostly of mountains, jungles, and numerous river valleys. It is both ethnically and linguistically diverse. There are around 9 million people (about half the population of New York) living in PNG, of Melanesian, Papuan, Negrito and Polynesian descent. Both English and Tok Pisin are recognized as official languages, but Tok Pisin is more commonly spoken and understood.
As the official language of Thailand, Thai is spoken by 20 million people (about 30% of the population) as a first language. Thailand is home to around 69 million people, with 97% of the population being of Thai ethnicity. About 93% of the country is Buddhist, as it is the official religion. The FireBible is available in S’Gaw Karen & Hmong, other languages common to Thailand natives. The S’Gaw Karen people are located in Thailand and Myanmar, though quite scattered throughout Myanmar.
Though many consider this language synonymous with its standardized form, Filipino, Tagalog is one of the official languages of the Philippines. There are 28 million people who speak Tagalog as a first language, and 45 million more who speak it as a second or even third language.

The Mongolian language consists of several closely related languages and dialects. The official language of Mongolia, however, is Khalkha Mongolian.
The Lisu people inhabit mountainous regions of Myanmar, southwest China and Thailand. They are an official minority of China.
There are around 7 million people (about twice the population of Oklahoma) living in Laos. It is a predominantly Buddhist nation. The Lao language, spoken by 3 million people (about the population of Arkansas) worldwide, is the official language of Laos. Because of their proximity, the languages of Thai and Lao share several words, and most of their basic vocabulary is the same.
There are around 51 million people living in South Korea, with Korean and English being the most well-spoken languages. Only 19% of the population are practicing protestants, while the remainder is Buddhist, Catholic, or non-practicing. With the growth of the Protestant church, the FireBible helps Pentecostal believers understand the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Most Cambodians consider themselves Khmers, descendants of the Angkor Empire. 16 million people speak the Khmer language, as it is the official language of Cambodia. Buddhism is the official religion in Cambodia with around 97% professing Buddhists. The remainder of people mostly practice Islam.
Japanese is spoken by 130 million people, making it one of the most fast-paced languages in the world. It is the national language for Japan. There are around 124 million people living in Japan, and most people practice Shintoism and Buddhism. Christianity is only practiced by 1.5% of the population.
Luzon is the largest island of the Philippines. Hmong is a language spoken by more than 2.7 million people worldwide. Despite its prevalence in Southern China and Southeast Asia, Hmong holds no official status as a language. The Hmong FireBible was recently completed and launched as of October 2022.
Fiji is an island group in the South Pacific Ocean, about two-thirds of the way from Hawaii to New Zealand. Roughly half of the 943,737 population lives in urban areas of the island. The majority of the islanders are Protestant, while others are Hindu or Muslim.
The Chin reside in the remote mountainside town in the Northen part of the state. There are around 257,000 people Tiddim Chin living here. The primary religion practiced by the Tiddim Chin is Evangelical Protestantism.
Taiwan is home to over 23 million people. Most of the population are Han Chinese and Hakka, people groups that originated in mainland China. Mandarin is the official language spoken here. Most of the population is Buddhist and Taoist, with the population of Christians at only 3.9%.
Cebu is one of the country’s oldest settlements and retains much influence from its long Spanish heritage. Throughout the Philippines, around 10% of its people are Cebuano-speaking, with most speaking Filipino and English (the official language). The primary religion is Christianity with a mixture of Roman Catholic, Evangelical, and Iglesia ni Cristo, and others practice Islam.
Many believe that the Chin and Burmese languages are the same, however, though many Chin people speak Standard Burmese, the two are different. S’Gaw Karen, spoken by an estimated 1.2 million people in both Myanmar and Thailand, is one of 21 varieties in the Karenic language family. The Lisu people are largely located in the Northern part of Myanmar.
Indonesia is the world’s largest country comprised solely of islands. There are 13,466 total islands in the archipelago, 922 of which are permanently inhabited. Bahasa Indonesian is the official language, a modified form of Molay. The country is predominantly Muslim and makes up about 87% of the nation.
There are about 60,000 Akha people in Northern Thailand. Thailand is the world’s most heavily Buddhist country. Around 94% of Thailand’s population is Buddhist and the remainder are mostly Muslim. Christians make up about 0.9% of the population but Christianity is slowly gaining popularity.
Across Western Africa, more than 50 million people speak the Yoruba language as their first language. Because of its significant ties to many of African descent around the globe, it is one of the most studied African languages today. There are over 225 million people living in Nigeria and English, Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa are the most spoken languages throughout the country.
The people of Mozambique are ethnically diverse, but ethnic categories are fluid like most African nations. Although Portuguese is the official language, Tsonga is of one of the most widespread languages. Of a population of about 31 million people, around 27% are Roman Catholic. Others are Muslim, Zionist Christian, Evangelical, Anglican or non-religious.
Swahili is the most widely studied African language. In East and Central Africa, more than 50 million people speak Swahili. Swahili is recognized as the working language of the African Union. It is recognized as the official language of Uganda and Rwanda.
In Burkina Faso, 5 million people, almost half of the population, speak Moore, and it is recognized as one of two official regional languages. It is often referred to as Mossi.
On the island of Madagascar, more than 26 million people speak the Malagasy language. Recognized as an official language alongside French, it is the only indigenous language spoken in Madagascar. Christianity is the predominant religion in the country, but a small minority still practices traditional faiths. As one of the most underdeveloped countries in the world, it remains attractive to travelers and scientists from around the globe.
Lingala is spoken by Bantu tribes throughout the northwestern part of Democratic Republic of Congo, a large part of the Republic of Congo, to some degree in Angola and the Central African Republic. In these countries plagued by war, the church has survived and needs access to the Lingala FireBible!
Nigeria has the largest population of any African nation at around 225 million people. English is the official language; however, Igbo is one of three main native languages with over 500 additional indigenous languages. Igbo is spoken throughout Nigeria, but most Igbo people reside in the Southeast part of Nigeria. Currently, around 53% of the country identifies as Muslim, with the remainder being Roman Catholic or Christian.
More than 50 million people (about twice the population of Texas) across northern Nigeria, Niger, northern Cameroon, and Ghana speak the Hausa language. It is typical to hear the Hausa language in the primary schools of Nigeria and it is also spoken as a common language across West Africa. Islam and Christianity are the most practiced religions throughout Nigeria.
Malawi is in southeast Africa, surrounded by Mozambique, Zambia, and Tanzania. English is its official language, but about 34% of the country speaks Chichewa. Most of the country practices some variation of Christianity with Protestantism being the most widely practiced.
Ethiopia is in Eastern Africa, west of Somalia. It is also referred to as the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. There are about 113 million people living here, making it the most populous landlocked country in the world. Oromo is the official working language; however, Amharic is the official national language. Ethiopian Orthodox is the most practiced religion, with Islam following closely behind.
